Selling automobiles without profit to customers interested only in price will

for the consumer, as dealerships are replaced by automaker retail stores or cartel
emporiums.
The family owned, community based, dealership is destined for oblivion if good
dealers fail to effectively present what they can do best. Personal service,
thoughtfulness, being truly helpful whenever and however they can. The added values
that earn repeat and referral business. Salespersons that are pleased to represent
you and who are there when customers return.
The future is either automaker control of the retail domain or autocartel
control. Unless you do what you can do best. We liken that to gas stations
that pump your gas, wipe the windshield and check under the hood... at less than
full service prices.
There's always the customer that wants to save another $50 on a $20,000
purchase. They deserve what they get. But 80 - 90% of the public wants good
service and fair competitive prices.
